Polaris began in 1987 as a small local fostering agency who wanted to make a difference to children and young people. We have come a long way since those early days and, over the years, we have grown, developed and gone from strength to strength.
We are proud to have become a leading children’s care organisation, transforming children’s lives for over 37 years, with almost 1,000 employees who are on this journey with us.
Today, the Polaris Community is made up of 19 different companies and multiple schools; each providing a specialist service for children, young people and their families. We provide extensive services and provisions within fostering, residential care, adoption, therapy, supported accommodation for care leavers, education and bespoke children’s services.
As a community, geographically, we cover the whole of the UK, from Glasgow to Plymouth, from Abergele to Great Yarmouth, from Belfast to London. With our many experienced teams based across the country, we are able to provide a local, family feel; maintaining our passionate and proactive approach, while offering the full, dedicated support of a national and well-established community.
